That's it!

Kimberly-Clark uses some 1.1 million cubic meters of trees from Canada’s boreal forests each year to produce 465,000 metric tons of pulp. Only 19 percent of the pulp it uses to make home use disposable paper products comes from recycled sources.
*This isn't a slight against Kimberly-Clark, I don't know anything about the company yet. Insert any big paper or paper product company here, and it's the same general idea.

You know how I was talking about the alternatives in your local store? You know, chemical free, less packaging, unbleached, etc? Well, I've found out that this alternative does not really exist for paper or paper products in any real way. I've been looking for recycled or unbleached paper for a while to write letters to companies and put a cute little "this letter printed on recycled paper" thing on the bottom. I've realized that looking for paper is a total excuse on my part, these companies have e-mail addresses/phone numbers and I have a computer/a phone.. It's just that simple. So today I start writing letters, and I'll post them up here for anyone else to use (replace the company name, send from your e-mail).

Oh, and p.s. I sent a letter to the editor of the Nanaimo Daily News about the snow bird oil fiasco.

Love to all, down with unrecycled bleached paper!
